Arlene Martinez (aka La Colora) is one of the leading influencers in the Latin music space. Her insightful understanding of Latin urban music industry, consumer taste and the evolution of the genre have made her a respected voice in that music field. Not surprisingly, she is on first name basis and holds social media conversations with the leading figures of reggaeton. During her stay in Los Angeles, she witnessed the evolution of the genre and covered Calibash from its inception to the last edition, now the leading urban music concert in that city. Living in Los Angeles allowed her to expand into other entertainment fields but music has always been her passion. Now residing in Colorado, her voice continues to be a bicoastal force with national presence. Being a mother of millennial children and a military spouse, she is uniquely experienced and has had relationships with various brands and companies.

The Social Reckoning Review: The Movie That Proves They Knew

How Greed Killed The DREAM

I just walked out of an advance screening of **The Social Reckoning**, and I have THOUGHTS. Aaron Sorkin is back — this time writing *and* directing — with a companion piece to *The Social Network* (2010). But where that film was about ambition, this one is about consequences. And wow, does it hit.

The story

The film follows Frances Haugen (Mikey Madison), a Facebook engineer who secretly copies thousands of internal documents and teams up with *Wall Street Journal* reporter Jeff Horwitz (Jeremy Allen White) to expose them — the investigation that became the “Facebook Files.” Jeremy Strong takes over the role of Mark Zuckerberg from Jesse Eisenberg, and he is *chilling*.

They knew

Here’s what got me: this movie doesn’t let Facebook off the hook for one second. This isn’t a story about a company that lost control of something innocent. The film makes it clear — **they knew what they were doing, and they kept doing it anyway.** The internal research, the buried findings, the profits-over-safety decisions — it’s all there. And at the center of it is Zuckerberg, who had the power to stop any of it with a single decision.

That’s what makes it hurt. Facebook started as a place to connect friends and family. That was the promise. And the one person on earth who could’ve protected that promise chose not to — because the money was too good. Mark got greedy, plain and simple.

Frances is a hero

I need to say this clearly: **Frances Haugen is a hero for what she did.** Think about what it takes — you’re inside one of the most powerful companies in the world, you see what’s happening, and you risk everything to get the truth out. Mikey Madison plays her with so much quiet courage, and every scene she’s in, you’re rooting for her. The world needed someone to blow that whistle, and she did it.

Final verdict

*The Social Reckoning* isn’t just a good movie — it’s an important one. Sorkin’s dialogue crackles like always, the performances are phenomenal, and it left me thinking about how much power sits in the hands of so few people. If you watched *The Social Network*, you need to see this. “We’re way past making friends” isn’t just a tagline — it’s the whole tragedy in six words.
