Telemundo announced today additional performers for the 2022 “Latin American Music Awards” (Latin AMAs), including CNCO, Emilia, Farruko, Gera MX, Luis Fonsi, Prince Royce, and Reik. These artists from diverse musical genres will deliver surprising performances in what promises to be a memorable show to broadcast LIVE on Telemundo on Thursday, April 21, beginning with the red carpet special at 7pm/6c, from the Michelob ULTRA Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This latest group of music stars joins the previously announced list of performing artists including Black Eyed Peas, Boza, Calibre 50, Chiquis, Christian Nodal, Esteman, Gerardo Ortiz, Gloria Trevi, Jesse & Joy, Jhay Cortez, Lit Killah, Los Ángeles Azules, Lupita D’Alessio, María Becerra, Nicki Nicole, Ozuna, Sofía Reyes, and Tiago PZK.
Bachata star Prince Royce, who just announced his greatest hits tour, will arrive at the “Latin AMAs” with two nominations, including Favorite Artist – Tropical and Favorite Song – Tropical for his hit “Lao’ a Lao.”
Representing the pop genre is Puerto Rican star Luis Fonsi who will hit the stage as a nominee in the Favorite Artist – Pop category, while singers of the now quartet CNCO join the line-up as nominees in the category of Favorite Album – Pop for their album “Déja Vu,” and renowned group Reik have a nomination for Favorite Video for the song “Los Tragos.”
The urban genre will be featured by Puerto Rican star Farruko, who comes to the “Latin AMAs” with four nominations, including Song of the Year and Favorite Song – Urban, both for his hit “Pepas.” New Argentinian sensation Emilia, who boasts millions of plays of her songs on digital platforms, will also delight fans, while Mexican rapper, Gera MX, hits the stage as a four-time nominee, three of them for the song “Botella Tras Botella,” which he sings with Christian Nodal.
The “Latin AMAs,” produced by MBS Special Events and Telemundo, will celebrate Latin music’s finest and showcase electrifying musical performances.
