Thanks to Roberto Hernandez, we had the pleasure of interviewing Joanna Hausmann, the voice behind “Hamster & Gretel,” for My Sangre Latina. Joanna is a Venezuelan American writer, comedian, and actor known for her viral comedy videos and work on Univision’s “Flama.” Her creations, which explore biculturalism and identity, have garnered over 300 million views and have been featured on major platforms like Comedy Central and CNN. Joanna has also voiced characters in “Milo Murphy’s Law” and “Harper House,” and written for shows like “Gordita Chronicles” and “Tacoma FD.” Currently, she is the head writer and co-executive producer of Disney’s “Hamster & Gretel.”
- Disney Branded Television’s action-packed animated comedy “Hamster & Gretel” returns for season two on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 10:00 a.m. EDT, with two episodes weekly. The first eight episodes will be available on Wednesday, Sept. 18, on Disney+.
- Guest stars include Seth Green as Footkicker; Ming-Na Wen as Dr. Hawthorne; Alfred Molina as Big Bad; Amy Sedaris as Hiromi’s mom, Juni Tanaka; Joel “The Kid Mero” Martinez as Luis Demo; and Tim Robinson as Ziggy.
- Kevin and his sister Gretel and her superpowered hamster return to protect their city with their newly granted superpowers by aliens. After protecting their city from local villains in the first season, their adventures take a dramatic turn in a new season of “Hamster & Gretel.” This time, they will face a global extraterrestrial threat while juggling school, crushes, and local villains.
